A new site, a new name and a new vision

Interactive Investor (www.iii.co.uk), previously known as Ample, is one of the UK?s leading online financial services providers. It offers independent and transparent tools and information to enable its 1.4 million registered users to solve all their financial needs throughout their lives. Interactive Investor was acquired from AMP by CAPACC (Capital Accumulation Limited) in March 2004, and is headed up by Tom?s Carruthers.

Interactive Investor has a vision to help users of the website to become better off by providing the hard facts to make the right financial decisions.

The Interactive Investor website re-launched in August 2004 with a striking new design and exciting new features including many new tools, products and information.

The new product offering includes a breadth of personal finance services such as Credit Cards, Loans, Mortgages Savings, Banking, Insurance as well as helpful planning and money saving tips. Visit Personal Finance

The Portfolio which is currently used by over 400,000 users has been expanded to include other assets (property) and debts (car loans) to give users an overall view of their wealth. Visit Portfolio

Interactive Investor continues to offer its Fund Supermarket which provides a choice of over 500 funds and ISAs from 24 leading fund managers. The company has negotiated hard with providers to ensure that investors pay the lowest possible charges - initial charges are typically just 1%, compared to an industry average of 4.2%. In addition, Interactive Investor also offers one of the UK's best value Share Dealing service. Users are offered a ?10 flat fee for all UK trades, free limit and stop loss orders and no hidden charges.   • Opened international offices in South Africa and Asia

  • May - Tom?s Carruthers named as Group Chief Executive.
  • Feb - The company lists on both the London Stock Exchange and the Nasdaq National Market
